What should you do if you have rehearsal, class review, or another
important obligation when a representative from a college to which you are
applying is visiting?
Good news: this is a win-win scenario. Write the representative a note. We
suggest beginning Dear Mr. or Ms. Lastname (which can be found on the
calendar), and noting that you are sorry that you could not make the
information session, and that you had whatever obligation. Mention your
campus visit if you have visited, and a reason or two why the college
appeals to you. Thank them for their time in coming, and sign your full
name. Easy! Then either give them the note at the beginning of their
meeting (if you can) or leave it with a college counselor. Of course,
please do not miss a school obligation to attend an information session.
Please come on down with any questions!
