On Wednesday morning you will be takign the PSAT in the dining room.
Following your regular breakfast, please assist with wiping down tables
and seeing that they are dry for testing.
What to Bring:
You should then return to the dining room at 8:10 SHARP with several
sharpened #2 pencils and your calculator. You may not share calculaors.
You may also want to have a watch so that you can monitor your time on
each 25 minute section. If you have access to your social security number
you should also aquire that information and bring the number with you on a
slip of paper. If you cannot locate this information you may leave that
section blank.
What you should know in advance:
The PSAT is a practice test for the SAT. You should not stress over this
test but do your best, as it will give you a benchmark of how you will
test for college. The test length is 2 hours and 10 minutes and it consists
of Critical reading and Math. We recommend that Tuesday evening you try
sections of the practice PSAT located in the bulletins you were given
before long weekend. Please be familiar with the layout and timing of the
test. IMPORTANT: you should only answer those questions that you can feel
you have a pretty reasonable chance of getting correct. For example if
there are 5 possible answers (A,B,C,D, E) and you can eliminate at least 2
of these as obviously wrong, then it makes sense to proceed with your best
guess.
We will see you at 8:10 am this Wednesay in the dining room - Whoo hoo!!
