Getting Ready for the PSATAs you prepare your sophomores and juniors for the October 17 or 20 PSAT test, you can use StudentEdge to guide them through additional practice and advice.
Basic test information, strategies, study tips, and a link to a practice test can all be found in the “Prepare for Tests” section. Students can take the full-length practice test in order to become more familiar with the PSAT and gain more experience with test-like questions. The practice test simulates the real PSAT in structure and content and contains detailed answer explanations for all questions. Taking a practice test will help students discover where they need to focus their study time and what to expect on test day. As the test gets closer, encourage your students to read the PSAT articles about study tips and test-taking strategies to get some extra last-minute advice.
Advice for ParentsIn addition to helping students navigate the college admission process, StudentEdge also contains advice for parents as they work with their children during this time. In the “Search for Schools” and “Pay for College” sections of the Advice Center, there are several articles written for parents to guide them through their roles in the admission process.
